These small Koi currently range from 1 - 2 1/2" in size and are a result of multiple spawns from this year. These fish are mixed varieties and are a great way to have some fun watching them grow this season. Varieties vary by season however you will be sure to find a diamond in the rough with the mix. Don't worry if you cannot recognize the varieties in these small fish. The colors will begin more rapid development by the time they are 2.5" long. When the fish are small, they all look very similar.
Grow some out to give away or make a profit selling at a larger size. This includes Standard Fin & Butterfly Fin (no guarantee on ratio, could have a lot or no butterfly in the mix). There are 150-250 fish per box. Quantity will vary based on the size of the fish. If the fish are running on the smaller side in a given week, you'll receive more fish in the box. If the fish are running on the larger side, you'll receive fewer fish in the box.
Due to the fragile nature of these small Koi losses up to 20% a few days after arrival have been experienced. Adding 5 lbs non-iodized salt to each 100 gallons of water will reduce post shipping losses. Water above 70 degrees will have best results.

Received my peanuts two weeks ago now. Haven't lost a single one! I love the shubunkin that got thrown in. There could be a diamond in the rough, but a nice mix of regular and butterfly fish nonetheless. The "ugly" ones are some of my favorites! Looks like I'll need a bigger pond. Can't believe how fast they are growing. Seems like they've doubled their size in two weeks. It'll be fun watching them grow. Ps didn't use any salt in the water and temperature has been 60-70.

I have to give this order a 5 star review. These fish came to me in cold weather in ohio and expected a decent amount of loss but as of yet I have only lost one fish. I did what they suggested and added salt to my water and warmed it to 72 degrees. I floated the bag for about half and hour and lost one in the process. Amazing, really considering the distance and temp, changes they went through. I have a very nice assortment of fish. The standout is a gorgeous platinum butterfly that has the longest, most beautiful fins I have ever seen. I am more than pleased!!! Thank you Blackwater

Very pleased with my \"peanuts \" the fish arrived in great shape only lost 5 fish in shipping. No other losses yet. I prepared the tank before hand and added the salt to the water 2 days before arrival of the fish. I used the 5 lbs per 100 gal. As suggested on the site. I will be ordering again.
