Wakin Goldfish

Blackwater Creek was the first American Koi Farm to commercially produce Wakins. We fell in love with these fish as we trained in Japan, and as you look at the footage of these awesome fish, it’s easy to see why!

The Wakin goldfish has an elongated body style with only slight compression and they have a short, double tail. The beautiful and hard-to-find Wakin can grow up to 10 inches, and they do wonderfully in aquariums or ponds. The original colors are a red, white, or a combination of red and white, but in the past few years, we’ve been successfully producing a few calico Wakins as well. We are commonly asked how long goldfish live, specifically these goldfish. In our experience these goldfish live for up to 12 years.
