These small Koi currently range from 1 - 2 1/2" in size and are a result of multiple spawns from this year. These fish are mixed varieties and are a great way to have some fun watching them grow this season. Varieties vary by season however you will be sure to find a diamond in the rough with the mix. Don't worry if you cannot recognize the varieties in these small fish. The colors will begin more rapid development by the time they are 2.5" long. When the fish are small, they all look very similar.
Grow some out to give away or make a profit selling at a larger size. This includes Standard Fin & Butterfly Fin (no guarantee on ratio, could have a lot or no butterfly in the mix). There are 100-125 fish per box. Quantity will vary based on the size of the fish. If the fish are running on the smaller side in a given week, you'll receive more fish in the box. If the fish are running on the larger side, you'll receive fewer fish in the box.
Due to the fragile nature of these small Koi losses up to 20% a few days after arrival have been experienced. Adding 5 lbs non-iodized salt to each 100 gallons of water will reduce post shipping losses. Water above 70 degrees will have best results.
But What Do They Eat?
Wondering what to feed your Peanut Koi? At just 1-2 1/2", they are too small to eat pellet food, so we formulated a finely-ground version of our Gold-N Professional Koi Diet in a size small enough for the Peanuts to eat. Add the Peanut Food to your order by checking the box above!

Customer review
I have been a long time satisfied customer of Blackwater Creek for many years. I always purchase the large peanut packs. There were a few hiccups with this most recent order, but I always got quick responses to my questions and concerns. My fish arrived today with only 2 casualties. The remaining are beautiful and healthy (as always) with a very nice variety. My only disappointment is that I received fewer fish (139) than I have in the past for a large pack(150-250 advertised).

Customer review
I rarely write reviews. I wanted to write one for these because sometimes it can be difficult buying fish online wondering how healthy they are and wondering what the heck the koi will look like when you get them. I received a very good mix of baby koi and only 1 dead on arrival. That is excellent for baby koi this size. A few days later and not another death in the QT tank. They appear to be healthy and eating well. It will be fun watching them grow over the next year. If you have hesitations on buying these, buy them. It is worth the money and you will be missing out on so much fun seeing what develops.

Great Fish Only problem is that you have to keep a eye out for your local carrier. To drop them off cause they sneak up and don't say anything. Besides that wish fish was shipped faster then what it do. I ordered on 4/30 and have to wait till 5/6 just to get them be besides that so far so good.

Customer review
All I can say is WOW! I expected far less in every aspect when I ordered, I received extra fish, extremely healthy babys, some bigger than expected.and some clear gems. The mix was great, 8 varieties, and to my joy and amazement many butterfly. It is early yet and none have died, but if any did it would be a my bad. I wont ever by koi online anywhere else. Thank you so much

Customer review
I am so glad I found this site! I was leary buying online, but the fish I bought locally in stores, never lived long so thought I would give it a try. I was surprised that all my fish arrived alive! They were packed securely and I followed the instructions that were online, as well as what came with them. The majority of the fish were between 1 and 2" long with a few 3". I honestly did not expect the smaller ones to live. I kept them all in a holding tank for the first 3 weeks where I was able to keep the temperature regulated since the temp in Ohio was still quite cold. I lost 10 fish the first month that were only 1" long. I wasn't complaining though as they added approximately 20% more fish since the majority were so little. It has now been 6 weeks since receiving them and they are growing so fast! The larger ones have grown at least an inch already. I was sent a large assortment of colors, much nicer than I thought I would receive. They all swim over to me when they see me, and are now allowing me to put my hand in the water when I feed them without being spooked. I can't thank you enough! I am one happy customer in Lexington, Ohio!

Customer review
My box of peanuts arrived safely and it is now 4 months later and after losing about 20 fish over those few months the rest are growing and getting more beautiful everyday. After losing those 20 I still have over a hundred left so my koi were fairly small on arrival. In my pack there are a lot of butterfly koi which until I got my own I really didn't like. Now I prefer the butterfly ones. I also got a lot of gin rin, which are also beautiful. There is no way I can keep them all it will be hard to chose what to cull. If you are wanting to raise your koi from babies you cant go wrong with peanuts from blackwater koi.
